TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE MyCard CREDIT CARD WEEKLY PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY THE STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED ("THE PROMOTER")

HOW TO PLAY
1.1 This weekly promotional competition starts on Friday 30 July 2010 and ends on Friday 12 November 2010.
1.2 To qualify as an entrant into this weekly promotional competition you must:
1.2.1 be a South African citizen or permanent resident of the Republic of South Africa;
1.2.2 be 18 (eighteen) years old or older;
1.2.3 hold a valid identification document;
1.2.4 log on to one of the following electronic platforms ("Platforms") namely:
1.2.4.1 the MyCard website found at www.standardbank.co.za/mycard ("Website"); or
1.2.4.2 the Promoter's mobile site found at www.standardbank.mobi; ("Mobisite"); or
1.2.4.3 the Promoter’s facebook group found at www.facebook.com ("Facebook"); or
1.2.4.4 the Promoter’s MXit contact found at the Mxit mobile ("MXit");
1.2.5 register at a Platform by filling in all the necessary details (including name, surname, date of birth, and place of residence) in order to receive product information on the Promoter's MyCard credit card; and
1.2.6 submit your favourite moment ("Moment") on the Platform in the form of image or text ("Requirement"). The uploading of your Moment is subject to clause 3.9 and 3.10 below
1.3 No submission in text form will be considered valid, unless completed in full and consisting of not more than 250 (two hundred and fifty) characters.
1.4 There are no entry forms to be completed in this weekly promotional competition and once you have met the Requirement you will automatically be entered into the weekly promotional competition.
1.5 You may enter this weekly promotional competition as many times as you wish.
PRIZES
2.1 5 (five) entrants each stand a chance of winning a gift card to the value of R500 .00 (five hundred rand) weekly.
2.2 Gift cards must be redeemed on or before Tuesday 19 July 2011 failing which the gift card will expire.
GENERAL
3.1 The Promoter of this weekly promotional competition is The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited ("Promoter").
3.2 The Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents or consultants and their spouses, life partners, parents, children, siblings, business partners or associates are not eligible to participate in or enter this weekly promotional competition.
3.3 All information relating to this weekly promotional competition and published on the Promoter's Website or any or advertising material forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
3.4 No entry will be considered to be valid until a validation process has taken place.
3.5 The prizes will only be awarded to the prize winners upon valid and satisfactory proof of identification and where necessary, upon satisfactory proof that the Moment submitted is the prize winner's own work.
3.6 The weekly prize winners will be selected by means of a lucky draw every Friday at 12pm, with the first date being on Friday 06 August 2010; and for every Friday thereafter for the next 14 (fourteen) consecutive weeks.
3.7 All prize winners will be contacted only telephonically by the Promoter on the day of the lucky draw and his/her names will be published on the Website.
3.8 Should the Promoter be unable to contact any prize winner after 2 (two) attempts, the prize will be subject to a separate draw and will be allocated in terms of this weekly promotional competition.
3.9 In the event of a dispute, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding on all aspects of this weekly promotional competition and no correspondence will be entered into.
3.10 The Promoter reserves the right to edit, review, reduce where necessary and change including but not limited to, the content, names of places, people and dates referred to in all Moments submitted at its discretion.
3.11 All entrants acknowledge and agree that all copyright in their Moments, which includes but is not limited to any changes, will vest in the Promoter at no cost to the Promoter and all entrants will have no claim to their Moments whatsoever.
3.12 All entrants, hereby assign to the Promoter the copyright and/or intellectual property rights in their Moments and will execute any documents (if required) to give effect to such assignment.
3.13 All entrants warrant that their Moments is their own original work and that their work does not infringe on the copyright and/or intellectual property rights of any third party/ies.
3.14 All entrants indemnify the Promoter against any claims brought by a third party/ies arising from an infringement of the copyright of any third party/ies in respect of a Moment.
3.15 The Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, agents, consultants, suppliers, contractors and sponsors assume no liability whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss or damage arising from a entrant's participation in this weekly promotional competition or for any loss or damage, howsoever arising.
3.16 The Promoter will be entitled to publish the prize winners’ names, photographs and Moments in any advertising, promotional, print, point of sale or public relations material, the nature and manner of such releases to be determined within the sole discretion of the Promoter, for a period of 12 (twelve) months from the date of the relevant weekly lucky draw provided that the prize winners consent in writing to such usage, after having being publicly announced as the prize winners of this weekly promotional competition.
3.17 If required by the Minister for Trade and Industry, the Lotteries Board or for whatever other reason, the Promoter will have the right to terminate this weekly promotional competition with immediate effect and without notice of such termination. In such event, all entrants hereby waive any rights, which they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledge that they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter, its directors, members, partners, employees, sponsors, agents or consultants.
3.18 All entrants, by entering this weekly promotional competition, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
3.19 Prizes are not transferable and any prize not taken up for any reason will be the subject of a separate lucky draw and will be allocated in terms of this weekly promotional competition.
3.20 Prizes will not be awarded to prize winners who have won a prize in terms of this weekly promotional competition before.
3.21 Prizes will not be changed for cash amounts or for any other prize other than the prizes offered in terms of clause 2 (two) above.
3.22 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of similar commercial value.
3.23 The Promoter is not liable for the failure of any technical element relating to this promotional competition that may result in an entry not being successfully submitted.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE MyCard CREDIT CARD PROMOTIONAL COMPETITION CONDUCTED BY THE STANDARD BANK OF SOUTH AFRICA LIMITED ("THE PROMOTER")

HOW TO PLAY
1.1 This promotional competition starts on Monday 19 July 2010 and ends on Friday 19 November 2010.
1.2 To qualify as an entrant of this promotional competition you must:
1.2.1 be a South African citizen or permanent resident of South Africa;
1.2.2 be 18 (eighteen) years or older;
1.2.3 hold a valid identification document;
1.2.4 apply for a MyCard credit card ("Credit Card") with the Promoter ("Application"); and
1.2.5 have your Application processed and approved within 7 (seven) days ("Requirement"). In this context approved means approval in all respects, which approval shall be in the discretion of the Promoter, and excludes any approval in principal and/or partial approval.
1.3 There are no entry forms to be completed in this promotional competition and you will automatically be entered into the lucky draw once you meet the Requirement.
PRIZE
2.1 1 (one) entrant stands a chance of winning R50 000 .00 (fifty thousand rand) which will be credited to their MyCard credit card account.
